Arrivederci nel 2018…
By working on the feedbacks we have collected from the PhD Students who had attended the last editions of the Summer School and guided by the insights received from the AiIG Executive Board, the 2017 Edition of the Summer School will be the first one of a 3-year cycle of PhD Summer Schools. With the aim to make the Summer School more practically-oriented and focused on giving PhD Students cross-disciplinary tools useful to address their current and future challenges, each Summer School in the 3-year cycle will focus on one of these topics: Research, Teaching and Impact.
Research (2017): structuring a relevant and solid research project and positioning it against existing bodies of research and theories and producing strong outputs from a research project and placing them in the most appropriate journals.
Teaching (2018): designing effective education programs based on an in-depth understanding of the underlying learning processes and teaching and engaging students in both undergraduate and postgraduate education programs.
Impact (2019): identifying and leveraging the most appropriate opportunities to fund a research project and designing applied research projects in collaboration with the corporate word that can impact management practice.
A common element of all the AiIG Summer Schools in the 3-year cycle is the attention paid to favour interaction between the members of the AiIG Community and the PhD students.
During the upcoming Summer School, scheduled for September 12-15 in Milan, we will focus on Research with the help of four highly respected invited speakers:
Enrico Sola, Communications Manager; McKinsey & Company
Dries Faems, Full Professor of Innovation and Organization; University of Groningen and General Editor of Journal of Management Studies
Alfonso Gambardella, Full Professor of Economics and Management; Bocconi University and Co-Editor of Strategic Management Journal
Dovev Lavie, Full Professor of Strategic Management; Technion-Israel Institute of Technology and former Associat
Moreover during the Summer School 15 Mentors form the AiIG community will actively participate in the program and will work closely with the PhD students to help them develop their research skills.
