The learning objectives of the School focus on:
– Designing a research which is relevant and rigorous.
– Understanding what criteria are important in assessing a research and the criteria an Editor/Reviewer generally applies to assess the relevance and rigor of a research.
– Effectively communicating the distinctive features of one’s own research.
To this aim, the programme will include interactive sessions with invited speakers/lecturers, labs and teamworks with mentors.

Professor of Operations Management and Organization Design at IE Business School. In addition to the substantive topics of operations management and organization design, he specializes in methodology: research design, analysis of complex statistical data, measurement, reasoning, scientific rhetoric, and argumentation.

His work has combined sociological and organizational theory to understand the work practices and behaviors of, amongst others, shopfloor operators, courtrooms judges, business consultants, global bank managers, air force pilots, e-markets sellers, chefs, migrant workers, and news workers.
